LAGUNA BEACH, CA–(Marketwire – October 19, 2010) – Every first Thursday of the month, Laguna Beach celebrates its cultural art scene through the award-winning First Thursdays Art Walk. On November 4, stroll and trolley around this picturesque town on a self-guided tour of gallery openings, artist demonstrations and receptions, live music and other entertainment. There is no beginning or ending point, move around town at your own pace. The event is FREE to the public and so is the trolley service. At any gallery, pick up an Art Walk brochure that includes a map featuring all the evening’s special events. “Hop from gallery to gallery enjoying the artwork of featured artists along the way. It is a lot of fun,” said First Thursdays Art Walk president Rebecca Barber. She continued, “There is so much great art available for purchase.”

Suggested first stop is a pre-event at 5 pm. City of Laguna Beach presents: Juried Fine Art Exhibition adjudicated by the Exhibition Director at the Festival of Arts, Martin Betz. Enjoy an artist reception and awards ceremony located at City Hall, 505 Forest Avenue.

Throughout the evening, see artists in action and watch their creative process, demonstrating their techniques and sharing their insights. The following are a few participating: Annette Wimmer demonstrating painting techniques at Annette Wimmer Fine Art, Julie Christiansen-Dull at Laguna North Gallery; and resident artists at Studio 7. Create your own unique holiday card at Esther Wells Collection with the help of artist Mada Leach.
