SCOTTSDALE, AZ–(Marketwire – September 20, 2010) – Phoenix VIP Events announces the 2^nd Annual Arizona Halloween Music Festival benefiting the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA with an adoption day, sponsorship and foster care drive and raffle. This free family-friendly (yes, that includes Fido) event will be held Saturday, October 30^th from 10am-4pm at Versus Sports Grill at the corner of 90^th Street and Via Linda in Scottsdale. The festivities will continue with happy hour specials from 4-8pm and an animal-themed costume ball from 8pm-1am.

The mission of the non-profit Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of dogs and cats in our community. Founded in 1971, AAWL/SPCA operates the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter. AAWL/SPCA also provides adoption, resource and education programs that improve the quality of life for dogs and cats and offer support for pet guardians. AAWL/SPCA found homes for nearly 2,700 dogs and cats last year.

The festivities include:

• Pet adoptions & fun animal demonstrations;
• Raffle benefiting AAWL/SPCA — tickets for sale or receive one ticket for every can of cat food (Friskies preferred) for a chance to win great prizes from sponsors like the Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns, Rockford Fosgate and more;
• Full size outdoor stage with live performances by legendary musician Hans Olson and Manufactured Defects, Burning Phoenix, Grain of Truth and the International School of Arizona Children’s Choir;
• Costume contest;
• Appearances by police and firefighters;
• Festival booths;
• Beer garden;
• College football inside Versus Sports Grill with food and drink specials all day; and
• Over-21 animal-themed costume ball from 8pm-1am.
