BOCA RATON, FL–(Marketwire – August 11, 2010) – SmartCruiser.com, a division of Palm Coast Travel, announced today that it has launched its own proprietary cruise booking engine and a totally new site design. Previously, SmartCruiser.com used third-party software to power its site.
“As one of the nation’s largest cruise sellers, we are delighted to be able to finally launch our own technology platform for booking cruises online,” said Lee Smolinski, CEO of SmartCruiser.com. “This technology will give us the ability to aggressively expand our brand into international markets such as the European Union and Australia, where cruise growth is booming.”
The SmartCruiser.com site will contain many new features such as enhanced pricing and comparison options as well as the ability to select from multiple promotions that may be offered on a particular sailing. The customer will experience a much faster site with more robust content including larger high-resolution photos of ship staterooms and public areas.
Palm Coast Travel plans to offer the new technology to its OASIS (www.oasisagent.com) division of independent contractors and home-based agents sometime in the fourth quarter of 2010.
The site offers direct online booking capabilities with Azamara Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Costa Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Cunard Line, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America Line, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Seabourn.
