British Columbia Lottery Corporation: Burnaby Computer Tech Gets Lotto Lucky

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Marketwire – Aug. 16, 2010) – A 29-year-old computer technician from Burnaby says he had to reboot his system after discovering the ticket he purchased for this past Friday’s Lotto Max draw was worth $1.46 Million.

“It’s a surprise because I just started playing Lotto Max about six months ago,” said Andrej Koudlai, who matched 6/7 plus the bonus number on the $50 Million draw. “It’s definitely going to change my life and my family’s life for the better.”

Koudlai, who purchased his lucky ticket at Parkgate Village Shopping Centre in North Vancouver, says he will try and invest his money wisely, but hinted he may treat himself to a new vehicle…or two!

“Investing is good but you don’t really feel the presence of (the money),” he reasoned. “I’ve never really had a decent car, so I’ll probably spoil myself with a couple of new cars before going to see a financial advisor.”

As a computer tech Koudlai is used to doing upgrades for others, but he has vowed to use a portion of his windfall to upgrade his own education, as well.

Here’s wishing Andrej 2.0 all the best!

This Friday’s LOTTO MAX jackpot is an estimated $36 Million.

LOTTO MAX can be played at all BCLC retail locations. Tickets are sold until 6:00 p.m. (PDT) on draw day (Friday). Winning numbers can be found online at bclc.com following each draw.
