Santa Claus Is Coming to Town Aboard Philadelphia’s Newest Waterfront Attraction

PHILADELPHIA, PA–(Marketwire – November 22, 2010) – On Sunday, December 5, 2010, Santa will make his annual arrival to the Blue Cross RiverRink aboard the Delaware River newest waterfront attraction, the majestic Philadelphia Belle at Penn’s Landing. At 1:00pm Santa and his many noted Philadelphia area mascot friends will make their way onto the Olympic-size rink.

This will be a unique once in a lifetime experience for Santa and his mascot friends to greet the children as they disembark the Philadelphia Belle and skate with visitors. All the children who love jolly old St. Nick will have the opportunity to tell Santa their Christmas list during the 12:30pm-2:30pm and the 3:30pm-5:00pm sessions.

Skate with Santa and Friends is a fun and FREE event with themed Santa activities for skaters and spectators. Enjoy free holiday face painting, photos with a free photo keepsake make and take crafts such as decorating reindeer antlers and of course, skating with Santa! TD Bank, Presenting Sponsor of Skate with Santa and Friends, will add to the holiday festivities by distributing over 300 free Elf Hats, while representatives from the Philadelphia Belle will distribute an additional 300 free Santa hats to all the skaters and their families.

Santa’s mascot friends, such as Pep Boys’ Manny Moe and Jack, B101’s Buzzbee, Finley and Blueper of the Camden Riversharks, Kirbee Krimpet, Hip-Hop, Wawa Goose, Swoop, with many others, are coming from near and far and can’t wait to ride with Santa aboard the Philadelphia Belle and Skate with Santa at the Blue Cross RiverRink!

Guests can also visit the information booth and enter to win a $500 Holiday Décor Makeover courtesy of Kindy’s Factory Outlet. Winner will be drawn at 5pm and you do not need to be present to win. Skating admission during Skate with Santa and Friends sessions (12:30pm-2:30pm and 3:00pm-5:30pm) is exceptionally inexpensive at $8 and skate rental for only $3. Convenient on-site parking is offered for a flat rate of $10. The Blue Cross RiverRink is also easily accessible by public transportation.
