SAN FRANCISCO, CA–(Marketwire – August 9, 2010) –  tweservation announces its Weekend Food Festival Challenge for foodies attending SF Chefs and Outside Lands’ Taste of the Bay. Who is more passionate about food — high end food and wine connoisseurs at SF Chefs or laid back music, food and wine festival participants at Outside Lands?

The SF Chefs contest will include two events: Opening Night at Hogs in the Fog on Friday, August 13 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. and also Saturday night’s Fork It Over – Foodraiser 2010 Saturday, August 14 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. The Outside Lands’ Taste of the Bay contest will run Saturday, August 14 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday, August 15 from 11 a.m. – 9:20 p.m.

SF Chefs participants will experience food from over 54 restaurants and chefs along with wine, cocktails and music in the Grand Tasting Tent in Union Square. Challenge contestants can take photos of dishes, pose with local chefs designated in the guide below (Mattin Noblia, Elizabeth Faulkner, Lizzie Binder to name a few) and upload the photos to the Foodspotting website via the Foodspotters iPhone application. Outside Lands participants have the opportunity to experience foods from over 31 restaurants and chefs in the Taste of the Bay Area in Golden Gate Park. Contestants can take pictures of dishes, pose with one of the chefs (Scott Youkilis) designated in the guide below and upload photos to the Foodspotting website via the Foodspotters iPhone application. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in the form of gift certificates to restaurants on the tweservation network.
