Brits Splash Out On Biggest and Best Accommodation Onboard the World’s Largest Cruise Ship

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM–(Marketwire – Nov. 22, 2010) – Royal Caribbean International invests a further £500,000 in the 10,000 flight give-away by extending the promotion by 2,000 flights.

Due to the considerable response from consumers and demand for popular holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, Royal Caribbean International has extended the 10,000 flight give-away on four ships with a further 2,000 flights added to the give-away promotion.

The continued rise in popularity for British and Irish travellers visiting the Western and Eastern Mediterranean and Adriatic Coast has meant that Royal Caribbean International will position 11 ships from the fleet in the region for 2011. The flight promotion is reflective of this demand and designed to provide consumers with an opportunity to take advantage of seeing these great destinations.

Royal Caribbean International has added 2,000 flights to the promotion from regional and London airports for the three Voyager Class ships in Europe; these include Navigator of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas. Also, due to popular demand to visit both the Spanish and Italian Mediterranean, Grandeur of the Seas which sails from Palma de Majorca with alternating weekly itineraries, has seen an increase in promotional flights.

“The shear volume of calls and bookings that we have received in response to this flight give-away promotion has been truly incredible. We have found that this initiative has encouraged bookings across-the-board on all our ships sailing in the Mediterranean for 2011 and believe that we have provided a truly compelling sales tool to encourage these sales for our trade partners. With this in mind and to help continue the upturn in sales, we are investing a further £500,000 in this promotion by providing a further 2,000 flights to the initial 10,000 flight give-away”.

With only 43 days before the offer closes, the extended flight give-away promotion will continue to be on a first-come, first-served basis for any of the applicable cruises booked and confirmed between 18 November and 20 December.

The flights including several regional departure points from across Britain and Ireland and are available on:

7-night Eastern Mediterranean cruise from Rome (Civitavecchia) on 30 October 2011 with prices starting from £729 per person onboard Navigator of the Seas

7-night Spanish Mediterranean cruise on 8 May or 22 May on 2 October 2011 onboard Grandeur of the Seas departing Palma de Mallorca from £665 per person

7-night Western Mediterranean cruise on Adventure of the Seas departing Palma de Mallorca on 8 and 15 October 2011 with prices starting from £550 per person
