Charity Golf Scramble Supports Fight Against Breast Cancer

STUART, FL–(Marketwire – October 5, 2010) –  The greens will be pink with envy as golfers from across Florida show their support for the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Hutchinson Island Marriott Beach Resort & Marina’s 4th Annual Charity Tropical Golf Scramble.

With a tropical theme and participants urged to “show their pink,” golf in Stuart, Florida will be fun and colorful on Thursday, Oct. 21 as the Marriott’s Hutchinson Island Beach Resort and Marina joins forces with the American Cancer Society to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Duffers are encouraged to break out some of their best island wear and sign-up for the fun and festivities sponsored by this popular Treasure Coast hotel. In addition to 18-holes of golf, participants will be treated to a continental breakfast, cook-out lunch, prizes and live entertainment throughout the day.

Participants may register by contacting the Marriott’s Ocean Club at 772-225-6819. Entry fee per team of four is a $200 donation which the Hutchinson Island Marriott will match. Green fees and an electric golf cart, along with breakfast, lunch, prizes and entertainment are included in the donation entry fee. The 18-hole Ocean Club is one of the finest among Stuart, Florida golf courses, featuring 4,048 yards for a par 61. Golfers will enjoy beautiful views and warm ocean breezes during play over the perfectly manicured greens of this executive course in addition to the event’s scheduled entertainment and meals. Shotgun is at 8:30 a.m. and golfers are encouraged to gather up a team to help support this important cause while enjoying the hospitality of one of the premier hotels near Jupiter Island.
