LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM–(Marketwire – Oct. 13, 2010) – PKR.com announced today that Home grown poker sensation Scott Shelley is to be the newest member of Team PKR Pro. The 24 year old from North London is the first member of Team PKR Pro to win a coveted World Series of Poker bracelet.
A regular live and online poker player, Shelley started at PKR.com four years ago as part of the Customer Services team. In 2009, after winning a staff championship, he played in his first ever £1k event at the WSOPE, coming a credible 75th. Entering this year’s £1k No Limit Hold’em event, he beat a field of 582, including legends Phil Hellmuth, Tom Dwan, and Phil Ivey to take the top spot and £133, 857. Shelley is a popular member of the PKR community, many of whom came to support him in his heads-up battle with defending champion JP Kelly.
