PARSIPPANY, N.J.–(Marketwire – October 26, 2010) –  Beginning Thursday, customers who rent two times can receive a rental reward day with the launch of Avis Rent A Car’s new “Free to Get Away” promotion.

“Avis has a long tradition of rewarding its customers,” said Becky Alseth, senior vice president of marketing for Avis Budget Group, the parent company of Avis. “‘Free to Get Away’ rewards are just another way for us to thank our customers for renting with Avis, and give them a reason to get away.”

Customers who complete two qualifying rentals of at least two days from October 28, 2010 through January 31, 2011 will receive a rental certificate for one free day of time-and-mileage charges on an Avis rental. Issued electronically, Free to Get Away reward certificates can be used toward a weekday, weekend, weekly or monthly rental of a subcompact vehicle through a full-size, four-door car.

Customers must have a valid Avis Wizard number and must register for the promotion at www.avis.com/getaway to be eligible. This offer is subject to certain restrictions and customers may earn up to three reward certificates.
