Hangar Completed Ahead of Schedule Accelerates Integration Program

AVENTURA, FL–(Marketwire – August 5, 2010) –  Sanswire Corporation (OTCBB: SNSR), a developer and producer of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and related technologies, today announced that the company’s technical partner, Eastcor Engineering, has begun the program to integrate systems and payloads on to the STS-111 and SkySat Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).

“We’re very excited integration testing has begun, and we are making exceptional progress,” stated Sanswire CEO Glenn Estrella. “With the construction of our airship hangar in Easton, Maryland completed ahead of schedule, we will have ample time for integration testing before our upcoming demonstrations. Now integration of systems and testing can be performed on fully inflated airships more efficiently with the controlled indoor conditions provided by our new hangar facility,” concluded Mr. Estrella.

When the integration of systems and payloads is completed, the STS-111 and SkySat will begin a series of initial test flights with the ultimate goal of performing persistent loitering or racetrack operations up to a 200-kilometer operational line of sight. The STS-111 airship is powered by a proprietary propulsion system, which provides significant gains in endurance, efficiency, and performance over similar competing airship systems.

“We’re now much closer to holding demonstration flights in the United States,” continued Mr. Estrella. “We’re looking forward to showcasing our airships’ unique capabilities with regard to ISR/Communication and other selected payloads to current and potential customers.”
