AUSTIN, TX–(Marketwire – September 28, 2010) –  L2 Consulting Services, Inc (L2) is pleased to announce that the company has completed FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) certification for Honeywell’s SmartRunway™ and SmartLanding™ on the Boeing 767. L2 revised its existing Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS) FAA STC (ST10466SC) to include the additional runway and landing safety features which improve situational awareness with aural and graphical alerts to the flight crew.

The Honeywell SmartRunway™ is the next generation upgrade that improves situational awareness by providing timely advisories which now include graphical alerts to the flight crew and advises them of their position during taxi, takeoff, final approach, landing and rollout. The Honeywell SmartLanding™ product is designed to help reduce the risk of a runway incursion by providing timely alerts to crew members when the aircraft is approaching the runway too high, too fast or is not configured properly.
