NEW YORK, NY–(Marketwire – July 12, 2010) –  The Travel Ad Network (TAN), the leading vertical ad network in travel and the web’s largest travel information source in the US, today announced that it has added Skyscanner.com to its exclusive portfolio of more than 300 trusted travel websites.

Skyscanner, the UK-based metasearch company, is Europe’s #1 flight search engine by traffic and has marked 2010 as its year for expanding into North America. Nearly 10 million visits worldwide to the site are recorded each month, generating 50 million flight search queries per month. Skyscanner referrals generate in excess of $75 million in revenue to its airline partners every month and the business has seen a growth of 230% year over year. In June, they attracted nearly 540,000 US user sessions but expect to see well over 1mm per month by the end of the year.

As Skyscanner’s sales representation in North America, TAN will be marketing display, behavioral and lead generation ad products including the ability to fully integrate airline pricing into its metasearch results for North America as well as the Skyscanner global footprint.

“We are thrilled to partner with Travel Ad Network to accelerate our growth in North America and leverage their traction with advertisers and advertising agencies. The relationships we have with our partners are as important to us as the relationship we have with users so we are very pleased to be working with such a key company as TAN,” says Skyscanner CEO Gareth Williams.
