WILKES-BARRE, PA–(Marketwire – July 13, 2010) –  Sundance Vacations today announced that Faye Shank of Hanover, PA is the winner of the Final Facebook Cruise Giveaway Contest. This is the last cruise giveaway in a series of Facebook contests by Sundance Vacations to give away six free cruises between April and June. Faye was nominated and chosen as the winner of the free cruise by Sundance Vacations’ Facebook community.

Faye suffers from seizures due to a disease called Lupus. Because of the seizures, Faye said she was “home bound and literally dropped out of everyday activities for fear of a seizure coming without any warning and becoming seriously hurt in the falls.” Luckily, after three years on a waiting list at Canine Partners for Life, she now has Dreyfus. Dreyfus is a fully trained service dog with the special ability to sense seizure activity in humans. Faye said she is “now able to vacation safely & happily” with her service dog by her side. Faye wrote in her essay that “Dreyfus is my independence. He has seen me through weekly seizures and even alerted me on Christmas of ’09 to a stroke so early that I was able to get to the hospital in time for the medicine to be effective.”
