Planning a Good Party Guide

The very first thing that you should do when you are planning on having a party is to have a theme decided.  If you decide the theme first it helps you figure out what you will be serving, your decorations, and also your music.  Every single thing about your party needs to revolve around your food, so a lot of your time needs to be spent on planning your menu.  It usually takes around four weeks to decide the menu, schedule a date and time, and invite your guests.

When your menu had been made up you could check out the Internet for many decorating ideas, drink recipes or just about anything else that you might think you should check out.  Finger foods work best and do not require a lot of dishes.  Remember to have a budget and to stick with it, also prepare anything that can be ahead of time.  This could include dips, relishes, and chutney.

The day before the party it is important to think about how you will set your table up.  It is very attractive to serve platters on different levels.  The center of the table should be the tallest point and have a big floral arrangement or a theme related centerpiece. Why not add a popcorn popper, so your party guests can help themselves to warm popcorn.

On the day of the party is when everything comes together.  Do all of your last minute cleaning, set the bar up, and decorate all room that will be used.  Finish up the rest of your cooking, and don’t forget the music and the lighting.  Grant yourself at least a coupe of hours to get ready.

Platters of food will easily stay warm if you use hot plates, and this will grant you less to have to worry about.  Don’t be in a big hurry to clear off the table it is a big party bummer if this is done quickly.

When your party is all done you will realize that your close attention to detail has paid off.  Your friends will see you as having one of the greatest parties ever, and you have been able to have an awesome time too.
