Medical Tourism Association Reveals Successful Ingredients Behind Upcoming World’s Biggest Medical Tourism and Global Benefits Congresses

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA–(Marketwire – Sept. 14, 2010) – The 3rd Annual World Medical Tourism and Global Health Congress has received sponsorship and support from government bodies from across the world, as the congress confirms thousands of delegates from 75 countries with over 100 speakers, over 50 sessions and above 100 exhibitors and sponsors for the upcoming congress. With many feathers in its cap, the world’s prestigious congress is scheduled to take place at Los Angeles, California, September 22-24th, 2010.

“The success behind such a gigantic congress relies on just three basic principles; provide a platform of opportunities to participants, develop exceptional educational podium while keeping patient’s benefits at the core” says Renee-Marie Stephano, President of the Medical Tourism Association. “We have moved forward this year under the theme “progress in motion” by bringing in new business and networking initiatives, incredible speakers and extensive topics from previous years. We are extremely happy and excited at the high caliber of speakers and elite professionals that are coming from around the world to share their knowledge and views on the industry, and their predictions of where this fast growing industry is headed” she added.

The new agenda, schedule format and new speakers will bring an exciting new dynamic to all the attendees. The congress this year is made up of three separate conferences, a Medical Tourism Conference, a Global Benefits, Expatriate, Travel Insurance and Health Insurance Conference, and a Healthcare Development Conference.

In one hand the congress provides unmatched educational & learning opportunities, while on the other hand MTA has created world’s biggest medical tourism networking program by inviting up to two hundreds buyers of healthcare from all around the world. Buyers including employers, insurers and government bodies are converging to network and connect with healthcare providers and facilitators.

“The strategic funded VIP buyers program has been a real success in bringing in a large numbers of buyers of healthcare to our conference. Our strategic move of creating a budget to invite VIP buyers has created a platform of unparalleled and enormous opportunities for our valued partners” said Jonathan Edelheit, CEO of the Medical Tourism Association. It’s the only conference in the world that creates such arrangements to promote business opportunities for industry players. “It’s all about providing high ROI to our participants, and eventually we achieve it for them” added Mr. Edelheit.

This year’s congress has introduced several unique concepts, first time in medical tourism industry, which will put Medical Tourism Industry on strategic growth.

Explaining strategies behind new concepts, Dr Prem Jagyasi, Chief Strategy Officer of Medical Tourism Association says “Medical Tourism Industry is a dynamic industry, we see many new players entering into the market every year, and hence it was very important for us to develop a strategic plan to engage all existing stakeholders while encouraging newcomers. We have meticulously created advanced, interconnected and value added plans for this year’s congress through flourishing concepts like dedicated networking meeting sessions, medical tourism award program, VIP meetings, improved ministerial summit, Spa & Wellness Tract, and two additional congresses – Healthcare Development & Expatriate Healthcare”. All new concepts are carefully combined to create a seamless platform of opportunities.

While all networking, learning and business interconnected programs are bound to provide opportunity to partners, the core of the congress remains focused on patients.

“Patients are always at the core of MTA strategies; let it be congresses, publications, workshops or even promotional programs; creating benefit programs for patients is always at the top of our agenda and are never compromised. Hence, we have developed special sessions to understand the needs of international patients and how to provide them nothing but a positive experience within the Medical Tourism industry” says Ms. Stephano. “We are glad that prolific speakers from government and non-profit educational institutes are joining us to lead us in right direction”. She further added.
