Women’s Wellness Weekend Scheduled for October at Sunriver Resort

Sunriver Resort is now accepting reservations for the second annual “Women’s Wellness Weekend,” a three-day retreat Oct. 19-21 featuring a lineup of experienced advisors and health professionals who will offer practical tools for living a balanced life with integrity and purpose.

On the heels of a successful debut event last year, Sunriver Resort is now accepting reservations for the second annual “Women’s Wellness Weekend,” a three-day retreat Oct. 19-21 featuring a lineup of experienced advisors and health professionals who will offer practical tools for living a balanced life with integrity and purpose.

Women’s Wellness Weekend is hosted and presented by Sunriver Resort in partnership with St. Charles Medical Center-Bend. Sunriver Resort, a perennial AAA Four-Diamond property and a part of the Destination Resorts & Hotels family of properties, is located 15 miles south of Bend in central Oregon, and an easy 45-minute drive from Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM).

In addition to diverse breakout sessions and workshops, Dr. Karen Wolfe — a renowned speaker, author, coach and pioneer in the wellness field — will deliver the event’s keystone presentation, “We’re Not in Kansas Anymore,” an exploration of the journey to understand the true meaning of the healing power of women. Dr. Wolfe also will deliver the closing presentation, “There’s No Place Like Home — Live Your Heart’s Desire.”

The weekend begins with registration and a social event on Friday night (Oct. 19) and concludes at 11 a.m. Sunday. The Women’s Wellness Weekend package price is $450 and includes admittance to three workshops; instruction; planned morning activities (a “Chakra Meditation” class taught by Julie Sinclair, editor, Spa Magazine, and tai chi); and two nights’ lodging at Sunriver Resort, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property. The package price is based on double occupancy, although lodging is available for single, triple and quad accommodations with varying rates.

Separate spa services are not included in the package price but are available at the resort’s Sage Springs Club & Spa.

The topics of the individual breakout sessions and workshops are:

Wine, Chocolate and Your Heart
Sexuality & Intimacy: Remember When It Mattered?
Meditation: Quiet Your Mind, Change Your Life
Enhancing Relationships Through Communication
Intuitive Eating
The “Diabesity” Explosion: Weigh Your Family’s Risk
SoulCollage

Sunriver Resort’s co-host is St. Charles Medical Center-Bend, which boasts more than 240 physicians on its medical staff, representing 40 specialties and subspecialties, and more than 1,950 caregivers. In addition, it features Oregon’s only Level II trauma center east of the Cascade Mountains and has the region’s only Level III neonatal intensive care unit.

In addition to Sunriver Resort and St. Charles Medical Center-Bend, event sponsors are Spa Magazine, Harney & Sons Fine Teas, and Murad skin care products.
